About Aleppo Pepper Chilli Flakes
Aleppo Pepper (or Pul Biber) is a coarsely ground Syrian and Turkish Paprika, named after the famous city located on the silk road with a rich culinary history. Unlike common chilli flakes, Aleppo pepper has a mild to medium heat due to the spice containing more of the flesh of the pepper and less seeds. With a taste similar to sundried tomatoes but with a kick, it is a popular ingredient in Turkish and Middle Eastern dishes. Try using Aleppo Pepper in a marinade, sprinkled on hummus or as a replacement for paprika.
